Bukidnon State University sent five training teams to five different Public High Schools on August 21-23, 2009 to mark the start of series of CILC Trainings. BSU is now on its third week of training and will continue to bring the same teams to different PHSs on weekends until October 25, 2009. As of the moment, BSU had accomplished the first block of the training with the following schools:
It was right after the third day training when the training team’s vehicle, a starex van burrowed deeply in the muddy soil portion in SNHS. The team was about to board the vehicle to go home but unfortunately, the wheels of the vehicle gradually burrowed itself in the mud as it tried to turn the engine on and move. As the driver tried his luck to get out of the clay-like soil, the more it got stucked.
One of the training participants, a relative of Hon. Lorenzo Gawilan Jr. (Municipality of Kitaotao Mayor) got his 4x4 pick-up to help pull out the van. But it didn’t work. It even added to the burrowed vehicles. With much will to help, the relative of the said mayor got another vehicle, much bigger this time: a six-wheeler truck to help in pulling out the others. As the six-wheeler truck drove over the location it got stuck too.
After some time, people gathered in the area and decided to pull the van through a rope. All the gentlemen helped pull out the van. One… Two… Three… and pull!!!
Luckily, the vehicle was pulled out. The team then remembered that in every trial, all efforts count but there will always be one strategy to get out and solve a problem.
Trials will always be there. They will always tease. But through the teamwork and whole hearted intentions, the goal will still remain fought for its purpose.
Just like CICT, it provides various strategies to enhance and develop ones knowledge in ICT. What then matters is how every PHS strategizes in order to maximize the resources.
What happened to the six-wheeler truck? It was still stucked in the mud when the training team left the area.
